Principals Message

Christoph Green

Greetings,

Roy Elementary is a unique school with strong ties to its community and a tradition of active student participation. As the new principal of Roy Elementary, I am eager to continue with the traditions and practices that make our school an outstanding place.Likewise, I look forward to working closely with staff, parents, students and community members to enhance practices and include new customs that meet the changing needs of school community.

My educational experiences have prepared me for the principalship here at Roy Elementary. For the past four years, I have been strengthening my educational leadership skills as Assistant Principal of Shining Mountain Elementary School in the Bethel School District. As Assistant Principal, I gathered many relevant experiences that are sure to benefit me in my efforts at Roy Elementary. Before beginning my administrative career, I enjoyed several years of teaching students at the first, fifth and sixth grade levels. My teaching experiences helped define for me the necessity of developing meaningful relationships with students, parents and the community as a means of creating a community of successful students.

The staff at Roy Elementary truly understands the importance of developing relationships with students, parents and the community. This belief in the significance of relationship building is common to Roy Elementary staff and myself and will continue to be the cornerstone of our school. I feel privileged to work with a staff that sincerely believes in the importance of relationships and strives to develop bonds each day with students, parents and the community.

I am honored to be the new principal at Roy Elementary School. I look forward to forging a relationship with each and every student at our school. Likewise, I am eager to become acquainted with each of you, our parents and community members. Therefore, I extend an invitation to you to visit me here at school when you are able.
